The 31st annual SAG Awards have been announced via official press release (after canceling a previously planned livestream, due to the fires in Los Angeles), with “Wicked” and “Shōgun” leading film and TV nominations, respectively, with five nominations each.
On the film side, “A Complete Unknown” and “Emilia Pérez” had the second best hauls with four nominations each. Same goes for “The Bear” on the TV side, which also earned four nominations. In terms of individual nominees, the Screen Actors Guild feted many surprise nominees, from “The Last Showgirl” stars Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis both being nominated, to Jonathan Bailey getting in for “Wicked,” and Kathy Bates becoming a double nominee this year for her roles in “Matlock” and “The Great Lillian Hall.”
In addition to the slate of nominees, actress and activist Jane Fonda will be at the ceremony to receive SAG-AFTRA‘s highest tribute, the SAG Life Achievement Award.
The SAG Awards 2025 will be hosted by Kristen Bell (also a nominee this year for her show “Nobody Wants This”), and will stream live globally on Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall.
